# Education Platform

> Offline education via Kolibri with Khan Academy video courses, progress tracking, and multi-user support.

The Education Platform provides a complete offline learning environment powered by [Kolibri](https://learningequality.org/kolibri/). It comes loaded with Khan Academy video courses and supports multiple learner accounts so each person can track their own progress independently.

  The Education Platform must be installed before you can use it. Enable it during the Easy Setup wizard or install it from **Settings → Apps**.

## How to access

Click **Education Platform** from the Command Center home screen, or go to **Settings → Apps** and open Kolibri from there.

## How to install

    Enable the Education Platform during Easy Setup, or go to **Settings → Apps** to install it at any time.

    Select the Education Platform and start the installation. N.O.M.A.D. will pull the Kolibri container and configure it automatically.

  <Step title="Wait for installation to complete">
    Installation progress is shown on the Apps page. Once complete, the Education Platform link becomes available from the Command Center home screen.

## Creating learner accounts

    Navigate to the Education Platform from the Command Center.

  <Step title="Sign in or create an account">
    On first launch, you'll be prompted to create a learner account. Enter a name and optionally set a password.

    Browse available courses by subject and start watching lessons. Your progress is automatically saved to your account.

<Tip>
  Create a separate account for each learner in your household or classroom. This keeps progress tracking individual and lets each person pick up where they left off.

## Tracking progress

Kolibri tracks each learner's completed lessons, quiz scores, and time spent. Learners can see their own progress from their account dashboard. Administrators can view progress for all users from the Kolibri admin interface.

## Adding more content

Kolibri has its own built-in content browser for importing additional educational channels beyond what was downloaded during Easy Setup.

    In the Kolibri interface, navigate to **Device → Channels**.

    Browse the available channels and import the ones you want. Downloads run within Kolibri and do not require returning to the N.O.M.A.D. Command Center.

  Importing content through Kolibri requires an internet connection at the time of download. Download additional channels while you have connectivity, before going offline.

## Frequently asked questions

    Kolibri passwords are managed separately from N.O.M.A.D. If you are an admin, you can reset user passwords in Kolibri's user management interface. If you forgot the admin password, you may need to reset it via the command line — contact your administrator for help.

  <Accordion title="How do I add courses for a specific subject?">
    Sign in as a Kolibri admin, go to **Device → Channels**, and browse by subject. Download any channel that matches your needs. The content will be available to all learner accounts after the import completes.

  <Accordion title="Can multiple people use it at the same time?">
    Yes. Kolibri supports concurrent users. Each person signs in with their own account and their progress is tracked separately.

  <Accordion title="How much storage do Khan Academy courses require?">
    Khan Academy course content requires approximately 50GB. Plan your storage before downloading a full course library.
